Da Young Lisa Park is a second-generation Korean-American director, writer, and actor based in Los Angeles. Growing up, she spent most of her time playing outside, watching films, and compulsively reading books. Disappearing into the page and screen was the one place she felt the most safe. As a young girl, Lisa often felt alone and the world of stories were more than an escape; they gave her hope, transcended the mundane, and let her dream of a life bigger than the one she was stuck in.

Lisa became a master at using humor to avoid uncomfortable emotions and awkward situations. She was quick to speak the truth in a room when no one else dared to. That instinct which is sharpened by a neurodivergent brain and wired for honesty, over restraint, has become one of her greatest creative assets.

Her storytelling lives at the intersection of drama, comedy, chaos, and grief. Rooted in her Korean-American identity, her work explores addiction, mental illness, intergenerational trauma, and the mess of trying to become the best version of the Self. Her short film, OG Korean Strains, drawn from her family life, sets the tone for her larger body of work: stories that uses comedy as the way into the wound, not around it. She hopes that audiences can see a part of themselves in her story and feel a little less alone in the world.
